Angles News – Angels Resign Bobby Abreu

16 11 2009

With the Angels possibly loosing a lot of players to free agency this year, they were able to resign a key part of the 2009 squad in Bobby Abreu.  The two agreed on a two year contract with a 2012 option.  Having Bobby Abreu on the team gave the Angels a mentor and a leader.  With a lot of experience, Abreu co-led the team with Torii Hunter deep into the ALCS with the daunting Yankees.  Abreu was a great pickup last year and we didn’t have to spend over 100 million dollars for a solid player….yankees.  Having Abreu back is great for the Angels and the organization.  I just hope we can bring back some other free agents such as Chone Figgins, John Lackey, and Vladimir Guerrero.  Go Halos!
